Volker M. Lauschke (V.M.L.) is Professor in Translational Pharmacology at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden and Deputy Head of the Institute of Clinical Pharmacology (IKP) in Stuttgart, Germany. The Lauschke lab integrates 3D cell culture systems of primary human cells, microfluidics and comprehensive molecular profiling to discover novel therapeutic strategies for metabolic, inflammatory and infectious liver disease. V.M.L has published >130 articles on tissue engineering and pharmacogenomics and is the recipient of multiple awards in the area of genetics, pharmacology and drug discovery, including the Malin and Lennart Philipson Prize 2016, the AAPS High Impact Award 2020, as well as the Clarivate Highly Cited Distinction in Pharmacology in 2022.
