Raúl J. Andrade is Professor of Medicine and Director of the Department of Medicine at the University of Malaga. Head of the Gastroenterology Service, University Hospital. He is the Founder and Director of the Spanish Drug Induced Liver Injury (DILI) Registry (www.spanishdili.uma.es), of the Spanish Latin-American DILI Network and the Prospective European DILI Registry (proeurodilinet.eu) awarded by the EASL. Chairman of the EASL Clinical Practice Guidelines on Drug-Induced Liver Injury. Chair of CIOMS (Council for International Organizations of Medical Sciences) working group on DILI in 2017. Chair of the COST ACTION CA17112- Prospective European Drug-Induced Liver Injury Network (PRO-EURO-DILI-NET). Member of the steering committee of SIG in Hepatotoxicity (AASLD) and the expert panel of the EFSA. Invited speaker in over 50 international Conferences. Prof. Andrade is Associate editor of Liver International (Q1) and Frontiers in Pharmacology (Q1) and member of the editorial board of: Hepatology (2012-2016) (D1) and Journal of Hepatology (D1) (2020-2023). Prof. Andrade published over 300 articles in peer-review journals, and 43 book chapters. He has an h-index of 57. The AASLD elected him Fellow (2016) for significant contribution to the science and practice of hepatobiliary diseases.
